- shortened the blade to 9 inches to be more manageable when chopping veggies
- squared the tip to make the perfect burger flipper
- removed the clear coating on the blade because you don't want that in your food
- created a sharpening choil to make the sharpening process easier
- rounded the spine for comfort
- rounded and reshaped the handle for added comfort and versatility
- applied olive oil to the wood and steel to prevent rust and provide longevity
- convexed the edge for more durability and for less frequent sharpening
- sharpened to a razors edge for effortless slicing
