I have taken a 12 inch Tramotina Machete and customized it to optimize its performance!
Here is what I have done:
- sharpened the entire length of the blade to a razors edge
- convexed the edge for more durability and easy sharpening
- 90 degree spine for scraping chores
- reshaped the wood handle for comfort
- soaked the wood handle in boiled linseed oil to help its durability in wet conditions
- removed the blade coating and forced a protective patina
- sourced a handmade firehose sheath
